Church Unlimited is a vibrant and life-giving church in the North Lakes area of Brisbane. Under the leadership of James and Paula Hensley, Church Unlimited has grown to be a key church of influence in our region. Our prayer is that if you don't already have a church to call HOME, you would come and join us in the great things God is doing with Church Unlimited.
Church Unlimited was originally pioneered as Kallangur Christian Family out of Northside Family Church (now known as NEXUS) in June of 1983 under the great leadership of Steve Smith and Alan Ralph.
Church Unlimited has a rich history and has been a flagship church in the Kallangur and North Lakes region for over 35 years.
JAMES & PAULA HENSLEY
James and Paula Hensley relocated to the North Lakes area to take on the leadership of the Church Unlimited in January 2018. James was born in San Jose, California, and moved to Australia in 2001 to follow the call of God in doing a Christian mission. Paula was born and raised in Mackay, Queensland and has a background in community development. James and Paula met in November of 2002 while serving as Red Frog Chaplains at Schoolies week in Airlie Beach. From there, they went on to serve on team at Mackay Christian Family church for 8 years where they oversaw Youth and Young Adults Ministries, Youth Alive, and Extreme Youth Conference.
In 2010, the Hensleys relocated to Townsville, Queensland where they joined Pastors James and Sam Macpherson on team at Calvary Christian Church. In the 8 years the Hensleys were on team at Calvary, Ps James oversaw Calvary Leadership College which was the Bible and leadership development college for Calvary Church. Under James’ leadership, Calvary Leadership College trained over 500 students across Queensland in Biblical and Christian Leadership. In 2012, the Hensleys relocated to Cairns, Queensland to pioneer Calvary Cairns Church. Within 2 years, there were over 400 people in weekly attendance and over 1000 people calling Calvary Cairns their home church. In January of 2016, the Hensleys pioneered again, this time launching Calvary Rockhampton. That church quickly became a large and influential church in the Rockhampton region with over 600 people calling it their home church in just 2 years.
James & Paula are passionate about building the local church. They have a real heart for the Moreton Bay Region and through passion, genuine community, and inspiring leadership they are are primed to lead Church Unlimited into all that God has for us.
We are Church Unlimited because…
GOD IS UNLIMITED
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly ABOVE all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
god's kingdom is unlimited
Of the increase of His government and peace.
There will be NO END,
THE HOLY SPIRIT IS UNLIMITED
For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by LIMIT.
the church is unlimited
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall NOT prevail against it.
We are unlimited
1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written:
“Eye has NOT seen, NOR ear heard,
NOR have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.
I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me.
Church Unlimited is comprised of people from many backgrounds and of various ages and ethnicities. Some people have a previous church background while many people have never been part of a church prior to joining Church Unlimited.
We understand that everyone is on a journey in their faith. This is one of the great aspects of following Jesus. He never asks us to be where we are not. Rather Jesus invites us to know Him in a deeper and more personal way.
As a church we believe:
the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.
in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.
Jesus Christ is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.
that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.
God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.
God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively.
that our eternal destination is determined by our response to Jesus Christ.
that Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.
To establish the UNLIMITED Local Church through releasing UNLIMITED people in their UNLIMITED potential.
To authentically represent Jesus in every area of Society with the intent to help people know Him in a real and personal way.

In Matthew 25, Jesus commends the good steward with “Well done good and faithful servant.” This would summarize the cultural values of Church Unlimited:
Well = Excellence. We will do whatever we do in word or in deed unto the glory of God with a spirit of excellence.
Done = Tenacity. We will do whatever it takes to fulfill all that God has purposed for us to fulfill.
Good = Integrity. We will operate in good character and integrity in all of our ventures.
Faithful = Full of Faith. We will operate full of faith in all that we do. We believe that God is for us. And if God is for us, who could be against us! We are Unlimited.
Servant = Generosity. We are called to serve and be a blessing to those around us.
Church Unlimited is affiliated with Australian Christian Churches (ACC) which is a movement of Pentecostal Churches in voluntary cooperation. Each individual church is self-governing, but commits itself to work together with other churches in the movement for the purpose of mutual support and the spread of the gospel in Australia and the world. ACC strives for an inclusive approach that is committed to providing opportunities for all people to have caring relationships. Please go to http://www.qldacc.org.au for more information.
Caring about the welfare of Children and Young people is a serious consideration of Church Unlimited and ACC is committed to protecting Children and Young people. The ACC Child Protection Policy has been adopted nationally by the ACC through its supreme governing body, the National Conference, and is binding on Credential Holders and Constituent Churches. It consists of a set of principles and procedural benchmarks that underpin the policies and procedures in relation to the protection of Children and Young people that the ACC and its Constituent Churches have in place for their Ministers, staff, volunteers and other members of a congregation.
